Another great opportunity for a behind the scenes look at two commercial orchid growers in Carpenteria on Saturday, Nov 16, 2019.

We will meet at 10 AM at Joe Ambriz greenhouse Ambriz Kingdom of Plants for a personalized tour of his Laelia anceps collection, along with a range of other orchids, tillandsias, bromeliads, succulents and caudiciform plants. Joe always has a few new items to amaze even the most experienced grower. Plants are for sale so plan to take home new additions for your collection.

We will go to lunch at a local Carpenteria restaurant - most likely Padaro Grill.

At 2:00 PM we will meet at Air Plant Alchemy in Carpenteria to tour Brian’s greenhouses where he grows a wide variety of tillandsias. He has a large display and sales area for specimen tillandsias and specimen orchids with some very artistic arrangements and stunning displays. Brian will take us behind the scenes to visit greenhouse growing areas closed to the public.
